Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, October 24, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA, with Reverend Monsignor Edmund J. Moore and Reverend Mark A. Watson officiating. Interment to follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. James was co-owner of Pohlman and Wilbanks General Contractors for over 40 years at the time of his death. His guidance will be greatly missed by all in the company. Survivors include his wife, Judith Ladner Pohlman; children, Philip Pohlman and wife Tracie; Hill Pohlman and wife Candice; three grandchildren, Brooke, Colin and Caroline; brother, Edward J. Pohlman and wife Kerstin; sister, Virginia P. Edmiston and husband James; niece, Karen Juneau, and nephews, Michael and John Pohlman; Richard and Robert Edmiston. James was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his family and friends at his hunting and fishing camps. His family meant everything to him; especially his three grandchildren; Brooke, Colin and Caroline. The yearly trip the entire family took to the beach was very special to him. He was blessed with a loving family and many wonderful friends who will deeply miss him. Pallbearers will be Ad Walker, Larry Mullins, Dave Jackson, Bob Stratton, Kyle Green, Carl Aron, Bernard Heflin, Fenton Davison, and Jim Clark.
