Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA. Ron was born on December 20, 1955 in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away after suffering a massive stroke on February 23, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dell Poindexter. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dianna Perry Poindexter; his children, Cara Brown and husband, Hunter Brown, Kellen Poindexter, and Amy Poindexter; his adored grandchildren, Andrew Archer (Papa's Buddy), Bailor Brown (Papa's Sunshine) and Carlie Ann Brown (Papa's Heart); his sister, Cheryl Poindexter Anderson and husband, Larry Anderson; his aunt, Chris Blackstock; and his beloved Boston Terriers, Priscilla, Pearl, Penelope, Tyson, and June. Ron was a graduate of West Monroe High School. He received a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech and was a faithful employee to Columbian Chemical Company and Dow Chemical of Sterlington, LA. His life was devoted to his wife and family. He loved taking trips to the beach and sitting on the balcony surrounded by laughing grandchildren. He took such pride in watching his little buddy play baseball and attending West Monroe and LSU football games. Friends of Ron will attest that he would do anything for anyone. We could never express our appreciation to our friends and family for their unconditional love and support through this very difficult time. The family appreciates the compassionate care of Glenwood Regional Medical Center, Pafford Air, and LSUS Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Jason Paul Cameron Foundation, P.O.
