ROBERT "BOB" POWELL
Kilpatrick Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Powell, 61 of Calhoun, LA will be held 
at 10:00 AM, Monday at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Smith and Rev. 
John Hillis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery Calhoun 
LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Powell was born July 18, 1947 in West Monroe, LA and passed away December 
11, 2008 in Union Parish, LA. He was retired from St. Francis as SPD 
Technician for over 17 years. Mr. Powell served in the Louisiana National 
Guard. He was member of Liberty Baptist Church where he was chief usher, 
Sunday School teacher and Honorary Deacon. Mr. Powell was beloved grandpa, and 
an avid hunter, gardener, and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Watts, and a brother, Andrew 
Powell.

He is survived by this wife of 41 years, Gail Hillis Powell, daughters Marcia 
Lee and husband Harold, Rosemary Powell and Connie Shivers and husband Terry, 
son, Daniel Powell and wife Kashea; sister Shirley Porter and husband Lee, and 
grandchildren, Matthew, Maegen, Makayla, Hunter, Destiny, Justin, Fisher and 
Emily.

Pallbearers will be Terry Collie, Ron Smith, Jerry Letterman, Virgil Brantley 
Jackie Allen, and John Alexander.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Williams, W.J. Mims, and Leroy McKamey.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
