Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday September 21, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Frances was born on October 12, 1947, one of nine children born to Lawrence and Vernie Clark in West Monroe, LA. She went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2012. Frances was a loving, supportive wife and mother to her family and found great joy in being a doting grandmother. Frances was a hard worker employed by Brookshire Co. for 18 years. She enjoyed working in her yard and being a career Marine's wife. Frances loved cheering for her boys and grandkids as they were actively involved in sports. She missed very few games until her health limited her access. Frances was married to the love of her life, Maurice Russell Price, Sr. for 46 ½ years and the two enjoyed many memorable times together. Family was important to Frances and that was evident in the way she and Maurice raised their two boys, Rusty and Billy Price. To her grandchildren, Frances was affectionately known as "Mamaw". Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Vernie Clark; her sisters Joyce Clark, Jean Price, and Irene Batson; and her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Price, Sr. Frances leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Maurice Russell Price, Sr., her two boys: Maurice Russell Price, Jr. (Rusty) and William Hubert Price (Billy) and wife Judy; four sisters and spouses, Ollivee Wink, Faye Meredith, (Garland); Olyce Bennett, (Danny); Rhonda LaBorde, (Ronnie); and one brother, Raymond Clark, (Gwen) ; sister-in -law, Betty Scharf, (Ray); Debbie Price Plummer; seven precious grandchildren - Hayden, Kaylieb, Kaitlin and Matthew Price and Michael, Matthew, and Mitchel Vetkoetter; and a host of nieces and nephews; Extended family- Suzanne Campbell, Susie, Danie, Terri, and Gary Rakes, and Kim and Peanut Davis; Dear friends- Cecil, Hilda, and Mark Ball; Gary, Trisha, and Stephen Giddens; Cheryl Purvis, Rudy, Tim, and TR Francis, and numerous other friends who are all so very special. Frances will be sorely missed by all! Pallbearers will be: Hayden and Kaylieb Price, Michael and Matthew Vetkoetter, Mark Ball and Stephen Giddens. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cecil Ball and Gary Giddens. Maurice and family offer a special thanks to the CCU staff at Christus Highland Medical Center and also the Nursing staff and workers at Dubuis Hospital of Shreveport.
