Bubba Hoggatt and Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill-Taylor Cemetery near Farmerville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville. Mrs. Pridgen was a lifelong native of Farmerville, La. and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She retired from Centurylink as an IO Operator. After a hard fought and courageous battle with cancer, she was called home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2015. Her courage and spiritual belief was an inspiration to many. Her husband couldn't have asked for a more caring and compassionate companion. Her main goal in life was her satisfaction of being able to help others. She will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rassie and Pauline Aycock Kennedy. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, James Connie Pridgen, Sr.; 1 son, James Connie Pridgen, Jr. & wife Donna of El Dorado, Ar.; 1 daughter, Theresse Ball & husband Darren of El Dorado, Ar.; 2 brothers, Bobby Kennedy & wife Sue of Farmerville, La. and John Arthur Kennedy of New Orleans, La.; 2 sisters, Judy Savage & husband Ronnie and Sandra Dixon all of Farmerville, La.; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Pridgen & Harleigh Gathright; 3 great grandchildren, Hannah, Landon & Collette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gary Cobb, Michael Thomas, Eddie Dixon, Austin Ginn, Blake Ginn & Hayden Ginn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Savage, Donnie Savage, Chris Redden, Brad Redden & Justin Fortenberry. Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Sunday at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville. Any donations made for cancer research in Betty's memory will be greatly appreciated.
