Rev. Rick Crandall and nephew Lawson Adams will officiate. Interment to follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Jimmie was born on June 15, 1938 to the union of Alma Corina Williams and Winnick Prudhomme in Catahoula Parish. She joins her Lord and Savior on October 9th after a courageous battle with cancer. Nana loved her family and all children. She worked with special needs adults from 1973 until 1988 and then drove a School Bus for special needs children with Ouachita Parish School until her retirement in May 2008. She touched everyone she met with her joy and graciousness. Nana will be remembered as always putting her family and friends before herself and her special needs friends had a special place in her heart. She was an active member of McClendon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Lewis Holmes and Lee Roy Quinn, son, Michael Holmes, sisters Bernita Sevin and Bernice Roubique and brother, Wayne Prudhomme. She is survived by her children, Lynn & Becky Holmes of Clarks, Gary & Phyllis Holmes of Clarks, Lisa & Mac Anderson of West Monroe, brother, Hoover Carter of Trout, sister, Juanita Bratton of Millsap, TX, 13 Grand children and 7 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Johnny Prejean, Glen Adams, Wallace Sevin, Aubrey Landry, David Bratton, Shelby Holmes, Marlin Adams and Dennis Cassels. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons and other nephews. Memorial can be made to the Children's Building at McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
