Lynn Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe. Sherry was born on April 28, 1947 and passed away on December 22, 2012. She graduated from West Monroe High School in 1965. Sherry was a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe for 40 years, where she was a member of the Vota Vita Ladies Sunday School class. Faith, family, and friends were her life. She is preceded in death by her son, David Ragland; mother, Alvanelle "Jackie" Holmes Bond; nephew, Paul Brodie; paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Fred Ragland, Jr.; daughter, Renee McDonald and husband, Eddie; grandchildren, Drew, Brett, and Brooklyn King; step grandchildren, Jackson and Jansen McDonald; father, James C. "JC" Bond, Sr.; brother, James C. "Jimmy" Bond, Jr. and wife Ann; sister, Sue Brodie and husband Bill; uncle Sherewood "Wally" Holmes and friend Sonja; aunts, Hilda Cooper and husband Alton " Giggs", and Leta Buhrman; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Mark Hendricks, Matthew Hendricks, Joel Ramsey, Daniel Newsom, David Newsom, and Eric Rogers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Wilson, Bobby Duke, and Charles Martindale. Visitation will be held from Noon until service time Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Memorials can be made to the Ouachita Parish Humane Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
