Mr. Rainer was born in Monroe, LA on January 25th, 1933, and he was a lifelong resident of Monroe. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016, in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA with Rev. Bruce Rux officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00PM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Rainer was preceded in death by his parents, James Edgar Rainer and Musetta Bert Rainer of Monroe, and his siblings, William and James Rainer and Betty Ann Haynes and his daughter Lucie Alicia Rainer. He is survived by the mother of his children Wyolene Hadskey Rainer of Monroe LA; his children, Paulia Lynn Price and her husband, John of Baton Rouge, Thomas Hadskey Rainer and his wife, Sallie of The Woodlands, TX, and Elizabeth Yvonne St. John and her husband Ron, of Warren, AR. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Halley Price Kelley, Benjamin Price, Tillman Rainer, Molly Rainer, Hillary St. John Reynolds and Parker St. John and one great grandchild, Luke Price Kelley. Mr. Rainer was a veteran of the Army National Guard where he served for over 40 years. Mr. Rainer was a Deacon and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church. While serving the church, he was also the scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 42 where he led many young men to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. Mr. Rainer was a long-term employee of Commercial Solvents in Sterlington, LA until his retirement. Mr. Rainer was a member of Grace Minister Presbyterian Church. Tom's great passion was enjoying the waterways of Louisiana. Whether it was fishing or piloting a houseboat, he loved to be out on the water. Being a captain of his many houseboats on the Ouachita River brought him great pleasure.
