Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mr. Rainwater passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at St. Francis, Monroe, LA. LA. Scott lived a conflicted life; one that was filled with times of joy as well well as struggle with addiction. Scott will be remembered as a witty guy who coul could entertain a crowd. His laugh was contagious. In his better days, he work worked hard to provide for his family and ensure his children would have better oppo opportunities than he ever had. Scott loved to cook, fish, and play golf. He intr introduced the game of golf to his two sons, who have benefitted tremendously from from the game. His older son received a college scholarship to play golf, and his his younger son now works for the United States Golf Association. Scott's trou troubles are now laid to rest with his body, and we hope he was able to find the the peace and closure he was seeking. We ask that all who knew Scott remember him him for who he was before his disease set in, and ended his life far too soon. Mr. Rainwater was preceded in death by his brother, Stacy Rainwater. Survivors include his two sons, David Scott Rainwater and wife Sarah, and Stephen Lee Rainwater and fiancée Kasie Eppinette; three grandchildren, David Scott Rainwater, Jr., Andrew Wright Rainwater, and Maggie Lee Rainwater; his mother, Wilma Rainwater; his sisters, Sharon Hobbs and husband Guion, and Sara Ross and Ross and husband George; his brothers, Steve Rainwater and wife Kim, and Sean Rainwate Rainwater and wife Tammy; and many nephews, nieces, and extended family. Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time, Saturday, at the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the "Celebrate Reco Recovery" fund at Whites Ferry Road Church in West Monroe, LA (wfrchruch.org).
