Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Graveside Services will be held in the Cook-Walden Forest Oak Memorial Park Cemetery in Austin, TX on Monday, May 1, 2017. Mrs. Read passed away in the early hours of Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was born in Nocona, TX on March 2, 1947 to Lionel Reed Sr. and Charlie Jane Reed along with two siblings, Lionel Reed Jr. and Leah Hemphill. Kay enjoyed painting, sewing, and cooking, but especially loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Read leaves behind her spouse, William Read; her three daughters, Rebekah Canary, Stephanie Leonard and Jennifer Downing; two step daughters, Missy Walden Forest Oak Memorial Park Cemetery in Austin, TX on Monday, May 1, 2017.
