MARY ELLA HEARNE REED

Celebration of the life of Mary Ella Hearne Reed, 84, of West Monroe will be 
held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11:00 am, in Feazel Chapel of First Baptist 
Church West Monroe. Rev. Mark Fenn and Rev. David Miller will officiate. 
Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mary was born October 21, 1928 in Wichita Falls, Texas and went to be with her 
heavenly father on May 19, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was born to Dessie and 
Luther Hearne. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe 
where she belonged to the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. Mary was also a 
charter member of the Cultura Book Club and a member of ADK, a retired teacher 
sorority. After retiring from teaching she worked at The Trenton House for 19 
years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Ralph E. Reed.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her brother, Stanley Hearne and wife 
Ginger; daughters, Martha Reed Miller and husband Tommy, Pat Reed Harrison and 
husband Mark; grandchildren Reed Rogers and wife Terri, Laura Harrison and 
fiancée Taylor Bray, Mary Harrison Oates and husband Matt, Loyal Miller, Nate 
Miller and Evangeline and husband Brandon Miller; great-grandchildren Hallie 
and Kathryn Rogers. She also had several special nieces and nephews.

Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Reed Rogers, Matt Oates, Taylor Bray, 
Jimmy Henderson, Al Henderson and Johnny Pace.

The family request that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00pm until 7:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home West Monroe.
