NEWS STAR WORLD - AUGUST 25, 2024
KENNETH "KENNY" REEDER

Kenneth (Kenny) Reeder, formerly of Monroe, passed away July 31, 2024 in 
Garland, Texas.

Kenny was born on April 5, 1940 and raised in Newellton, Louisiana where he was 
affectionately known as "Beaver".

Kenny was passionate about helping those in need and telling stories about his 
many adventures.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Callie Reeder, brother Buddy 
and sister Ann. He is survived by sister Linda Downing and brothers Ricky and 
Ronnie Reeder. He is also survived by son Stan Reeder and wife Angelia and 
daughter Crystal Reeder. His grandchildren, Ryan Reeder and wife Angela; Brandon 
Reeder and wife Rosalie; Kali Booker and fiance Dalton Cooper. He was known as 
"Big Papaw" by his four great-grandchildren: Sterling, Willa, Everett and Rush. 
He had many nieces and nephews and close friends.

Kenny donated his body to UT Southwestern Medical School so a memorial will be 
planned at a later date. The family requests that anyone interested please 
donate to their local food bank or favorite charity in his memory.
