COL. (RET) U.S. ARMY FRANK E. REILLY Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Funeral services celebrating the life of Lt. Col. (Ret) Frank E. Reilly will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Father Richard J. Lombard of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rev. Thomas W. Patton of Cypress Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. The family invites and will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Frank was born August 8, 1915 to the late William and Evelyn Reilly in Bronx, NY and passed away September 29, 2007 in Bossier City, LA. He was a native of New York City, and a graduate of the College of the City of New York. Frank entered the U.S. Army in 1942, retired from Fort Polk, LA in 1966 as a highly decorated officer including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, National Defense Service, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and the Army Commendation Medal and was a resident of Shreveport since his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Retired Officers Association, the American Legion and the Association of the U.S. Army. Preceding Frank in death are his beloved wife, Sally Beatrice Cowan Reilly; parents, William and Evelyn Reilly; nephews, Robert Dumas and Jerry Dumas; brothers, William, Porter, Edward Reilly; and sister-in-law, Mary Cowan Dumas. Left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Joyce Givens and husband Bill, Nevesa Dumas and Marjorie Ann Dumas; and numerous great nieces and nephews from Louisiana, Texas and New York. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry and Daniel Dumas, Tommy Patton, Max Bacon, Mark and Matt Givens. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund.
