DORIS EDNA ECKARDT RENFRO

Doris Edna Eckardt Renfro, 82, went home to live with Jesus on July 3, 2014. She 
passed peacefully at her residence after a lengthy illness. Services will be 
Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home followed by a burial at 4 
p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.

Mrs. Renfro was born in Brenham, TX on June 24, 1932 to the late Carl and Edna 
Andricks Eckardt. She married her soul mate, Fulton Leon "Tony" Renfro, on April 
11, 1952 in Houston, TX. They moved to Monroe, LA where she was a homemaker 
raising 4 kids. She was an active member of First Christian Church of Monroe. 
The couple was involved in numerous civic organizations and enjoyed traveling.

Following Tony's death, she moved to Hattiesburg to be closer to family. She 
enjoyed gardening, was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed spending time with 
family and friends. She was an beloved Mother and Grandmommie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, her step-daughter Phyllis 
Browning, and her brother, Carl Eckardt.

She is survived by a step-son, Robert Renfro; one son, Rocky Renfro; one 
daughter Deborah Kay Smith; four Grandchildren, Matt Renfro, Tonya Kay (Joe) 
Atkinson, Carla Smith (Tom) Rushing, and Darrah Smith; and seven great-grand 
children, Chase, Josie, and Riley Atkinson, Avery, Alex, and AJ Rushing, and 
Parker Smith.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Moore 
Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Homes of Hope for 
Children. www.HOHFC.org.
