FLOYE PURDY REPPOND

The family of Floye Purdy Reppond (Granny) 81, of Marion, LA., will have a 
visitation to celebrate her life on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Dean 
Baptist Church in Marion, LA. Funeral services for Floye will also be held at 
Dean Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 under the direction 
of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Donald Reeves and Bro. 
Troy Dennard. Interment will follow at Dean Baptist Church Cemetery.Granny was 
born on January 22, 1932 and passed away on August 4, 2013 at her residence 
surrounded by her family. She was a member of Dean Baptist Church and retired 
from Century Telephone after 25 years. Granny loved working in her garden, 
making blue ribbon mayhaw jelly, and tending to her grands and great- 
grands.She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Francis Purdy; great-
grandson, Camden Kelly, and brothers Pete and James Purdy. Survivors include: 
husband of 63 years, Lewis Reppond; daughters, Rita LeRay (Pat), Anita (Sissy) 
Reppond, Brenda Phillips (Larry), Cheryl Alessi (Bill); son Wayne Reppond 
(Rhonda); 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, June Wells, Hazel 
Crocker, and Margie Clampit; brothers, Glen and Gerald Purdy; special sister-in-
law, Tooler Patterson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. 
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
