Riser Funeral Home Columbia, LA Funeral services for Mr. Odie Neal "Buddy" Reynolds, Jr., age 71 of Columbia will be 10:30 AM Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Columbia Church of Christ, HWY 4 East, in Columbia with Sam Sidders and Bob McIlwain officiating. Interment will follow at Synope Plantation in Columbia. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Buddy was born in Monroe on June 13, 1937 to the union of Odie Neal and Jennie Martin Reynolds and passed from this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a retired employee of the Caldwell Parish School Board and resided at Synope Plantation in Caldwell Parish. He attended Centenary College and Northeast Louisiana University. He was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ and attended faithfully as his health permitted. Buddy is remembered for his graciousness and generosity to his family and friends. He used unfailing humor, smiles and great conversation to entertain, comfort and console. Buddy loved people and people loved Buddy. The Reynolds Family wish to thank the doctors and staff at Rapides Regional Medical Center who took in a stranger and treated him with the utmost courtesy and professionalism in his last hours. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Odie and Jennie Reynolds, his sister, Jennie Crump , his brothers-in-law; John Crump and Gregory Stone. and his great nephew Alex Crump. Survivors include his sister, Jorenda Reynolds Stone, nephew, Wes Crump and wife, Kathy, niece, Anna Gregory and husband, Mark and four great-nephews; John Crump, James Gregory, Christopher Gregory and Forrest Gregory. Pallbearers will be Johnny James, James Gregory, Otis Blanson, Patrick Barber, Drew Keahey, Dr. Steve Carter, Jim Turner and John Crump, V.
