Death of Judge Richardson.

   The news came to Rayville Monday that Judge R.W. Richardson of Monroe,was 
no more. Judge Richardson was well known to our readers, having been on the 
bench in this parish for many years while this parish was in the same judicial 
district with Ouachita. Deceased was a district judge before the war. He 
occupied that position for many years and it has been said, that the higher 
court seldom ever reversed one of his decisions. He had been in bad health for 
many years and it was on account of this that the last General Assembly 
created the office of another judge or an assistant, during his term, which 
would have expired in April.
