TROY JAMES RISER

Funeral services for Troy James Riser, 73, of Winnsboro will be held 2 pm 
Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Life Church with Rev. George Bates, Rev. Kevin 
Bates and Rev. Marion Collier officiating. Interment will follow in Harris 
Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation 
will be 5 - 8 pm Tuesday March 18, 2014 at the church.

Mr. Riser was born September 13, 1940 in Crowville to Thomas James and Eula 
Mae Ezell Riser and passed from this life on March 17, 2014 in Alexandria.

He was a member of Life church. He retired after 30 years in the oilfield both 
inland and offshore as a ballistic control operator. He was an avid sports 
enthusiasts. He took great joy in watching his grandchildren participate in 
sporting activities and cheering for his beloved New Orleans Saints.

Preceding Mr. Riser in death was his parents; three brothers Billy, Oneal, and 
Leonard.

Survivors include his wife Mitzi of Winnsboro; children Pam and husband David 
of Chillecothe, MO, Troy of St. Francisville, Cole and wife Becky of Delhi, 
Tanya and husband Kevin, Tom and wife Hannah; 6 grandchildren Anthony, 
Savanna, Hannah, Baylor, Riser and Troy; 3 great grandchildren Madeline, Molly 
and Micah; brother Denson and Teresa of Shreveport; sister Mildred Cruz of 
Shreveport; loving pet and companion Captain; a host of other relatives and 
friends.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
