ROACH Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Edith G. Roach, 94, of Monroe, will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 16th, 2009, in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, 1200 Lamy Lane, with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Weldon Cemetery in Bernice under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Born January 3rd, 1915 in Summerfield, LA, she was the daughter of the late Larkin and Eolian Mitchum Green. She passed away Saturday, March 14th, 2009, in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Roach grew up in Summerfield and graduated from Summerfield High School. She married Alvis Roach on July 31st, 1935. During their years together, they lived in Bethany, LA, Pharr, TX, Lafayette, LA, and Rocky Branch, LA while Mr. Roach was employed with United Gas Pipeline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis, sisters Evelyn Kelly and Melba Cook, and brother Fred Green, daughter, Linda Crews and husband, Lynn, and grandsons Jim and Patrick Crews and granddaughter, Cheryl Crews. Survivors include her children, Kay Lowther and husband, Chuck of Monroe, LA, Sue Eppler and husband, Dick of Calhoun, LA, Danny Roach and wife Debbie of Broussard, LA, and Elizabeth Boyd and husband, Rodney of Clinton, LA; grandchildren, Richard Eppler, Michelle Eppler West, Danelle Roach Hueser, Denise Roach Woodrum, Amanda and Rodney Boyd; eleven great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild. The family wishes to thank the West Monroe Guest House for their loving care the past three years. Also, Glenwood Medical Center and Hospice Care of Louisiana for the special care they gave her. Visitation will be Sunday evening, March 15th, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA.
