CHARLIE A. ROBERTS

Funeral services for Charlie A. Roberts, 77, of Wisner, LA, will be held at 
South Central Baptist Church on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at 2:00 PM, with 
Rev. T. J. Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery, 
under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. 
Charlie Roberts was born April 22, 1933, in Wisner, LA, and passed away 
Thursday, December 30, 2010, at his residence in Wisner, with family and 
friends at his side. He was owner of Roberts Water Wells and a retired iron 
worker. He was a member of South Central Baptist Church and Chairman of South 
Central Baptist Cemetery, a member of the T. B. Gilbert Masonic Lodge, 
Louisiana Water Well Association, and Iron Workers Association. He was 
preceded in Death by: Father - Walter Clarence Roberts; Mother - Leona 
Elizabeth (Cobb) Roberts; 3 Brothers - N. J. Roberts, Bentley Roberts, and 
Aubrey Roberts; 2 sisters - Henrietta McKay and Margie Roberts. Survivors 
include: Wife - Frances Maidean Smith Roberts of Wisner, LA; 3 Daughters - 
Debra Roberts of Ruston, LA, Robin Roberts of Wisner, LA, and Kristy Roberts 
of Wisner, LA; Son - Shawn Roberts and wife Dena Randall Roberts of Fort 
Wright, KY; Brother - Henry Roberts and wife Jeanette of Wisner, LA; 5 
Sisters - Velma Roberts Tuberville of Childersburg, AL, Shirley Roberts 
Hoggatt and husband Raymond of Wisner, LA, Carrie Mae Roberts Nolan and 
husband Bill of Jonesville, LA, Lou Roberts Giddens and husband Lex "Nickey" 
Giddens of Swartz, LA, and Shelia Roberts Smith of Wisner, LA.;Special Friend -
 Lloyd Roberts of Wisner, LA; 9 Grandchildren - Rhett Roberts, Shawn Randall 
Roberts, Townsley Roberts, Justin Temple, Memory Roberts,Leah Jane Roberts, 
Stephanie Beach, Hannah Beach, and Rebecca Beach; 2 Great grandchildren - Anna 
Caroline Ezell and Hartley Christopher Halford; 51 nieces and nephews, and a 
host of family and friends. The Pallbearers will be Rhett Roberts, Rand 
Roberts, Justin Temple, Chuck Holcomb, Timothy Patten, Nathan Roberts, Rip 
Roberts, Dexter Roberts, Nolan Giddens, Darryl Giddens, Walter Smith, Wayne 
Jordan, Buddy Jordan, John Jordan, Jody Jordan, Phillip Roberts, Josh Roberts, 
Jimmy Wilks, Ronnie Ellerbe, and Brock Halford. The Honorary Pallbearers will 
be Deacons of South Central Baptist church and members of T.B. Gilbert Masonic 
Lodge. The family will receive friends at South Central Baptist Church from 
5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, December 31, 2010. The family request that any 
memorials may be made to South Central Baptist Cemetery or St. Jude Children's 
Research Hospital
