Prov. 31:10" Funeral services for Mrs. Tootie Roberts, 83, of Monticello, LA will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello with Rev. Fred Hale and Rev. Jay Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00 PM til 9 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi, LA. Visitation will continue on Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church from 10:30 AM until time of services. Mrs. Roberts was born on December 13, 1931 in Campti, LA to the union of Pearl Martin Ezernack and Leon Ezernack. She was a life-long resident of East & West Carroll Parishes and received her Heavenly Reward on September 10, 2015 in West Monroe, LA. Tootie married Luther W. Roberts on January 11, 1947, a union that lasted more than 50 years. To their union was born Linda Roberts Harrison and Kathy Brantley Dunn. Mrs. Roberts was a store clerk and Soda Fountain operator for many years. Her most important role, though was her family. Being a lady of great faith and virtue, she instilled in her family the values of Love, Faith, Patience and Hard Work. She was the center of her family and the glue that will bind us together for all time. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts is preceded in death by her parents Pearl Ezernack Maxwell, Turner Maxwell and Leon Ezernack; brothers Marvin, Ike and Elzie Ezernack; sisters Mag Lee, Odell Roberts, Verlon "Tally" Myers and Lou Audrey Reese; husband Luther W. Roberts and son-law Carl W. Brantley. She is survived by her daughters, Linda R. Harrison of Monticello, LA and Kathy Brantley Dunn and husband Lambert Dunn of Monticello, LA; grandchildren, Shane Harrison & wife Miranda of Monticello, Courtney Parks & husband Jason of Delhi, C. Brandon Brantley & partner Cliff Hargrave of Monroe, Cari Fallin & husband Brenton of Delhi; great grandchildren, Ryan Alford & wife Ashley of Rayville, Rachael Alford & fiancée' Quinton of Monticello, Mallory Parks of Ruston, Stormy Harrison of Monticello and Melanie Parks, Brantley Bass and Clayton Fallin all of Delhi; great-great grandchildren, Tucker Alford of Rayville and Bentley Alford of Monticello. Tootie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other close relatives. Pallbearers will be Bruce Castilaw, Tim Colvin, Heath Hutchinson, Jay Lacoste and Jessie Fallin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Keith Burgess, Lester Oswalt, Bruce McEacharn and Don Raley. Any planned memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Robert Parker and nurses Glenda Kelly and Millie Rufus for the sincere and compassionate love and care provided to their loved one.
