ELESE CROWELL ROBERTS


A private Celebration of Life will be held for Elese Crowell Roberts, 81, 
previously of West Monroe, Louisiana, in the Spring of 2016 with Rev. Lynn 
Malone presiding. Mrs. Roberts was born on January 23, 1934, in Jackson Parish, 
Louisiana and passed from this life on November 17, 2015, in Farmington, MO 
surrounded by her family.

Elese "Tidy" Roberts was a devoted wife and mother who loved to read, study the 
Bible, cook and spend time with her Grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing the 
bayous of Louisiana with the love of her life, W. R. "Dub" Roberts, Jr. She was 
a member of Cypress Street Church of God in West Monroe. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, W.R. Roberts, JR., her parents, G.B. Crowell and Ava 
Crowell; two sisters, Elizabeth Hartt and Gloria Traylor; three brothers, 
Ferrell Crowell, G.W. Crowell, and Jack Crowell.

She is survived by her daughter Claudia (Gary), Grandchildren, Sydney Elese, 
Gabrielle and Jack, along with many very special sister-in-laws, brother-in-
laws, nieces (great) and nephews (great). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be 
made to Cypress Street Church of God, 1401 Cypress Street West Monroe,
