After months of anticipation they learned their little angel was a girl, Ryleigh Ann Roberts. Ryleigh defied many odds despite pregnancy complications and was able to stay with her mother until 26 weeks where her safety in the womb became at risk. On July 15, 2016, she was born at St. Francis Hospital, in Monroe, Louisiana, at 9:36 a.m. and peacefully slipped away to heaven while surrounded by family at 11:09 a.m. The family rejoices to God that they were able to meet such a precious angel. She inspired the faith of many and will always be very loved. She will be laid to rest at King's Cemetery in Wisner, Louisiana, on July 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ben McGehee and Reverend Betty Swanson officiating. The surviving family members include her parents Travis and Christina Roberts; grandparents Jan and Rusty Roberts, Mack and Phyllis Gordon; uncles Quinton Roberts, Kenny Gordon, Steven Smith, and Sam Laird; Aunt Jennifer Smith; cousins Gracie Woodall and Baleigh Smith; and great grandmothers Wanda Kerrigan and Bett Roberts. She is preceded in death by great grandparents Joe Kerrigan, T.G. Roberts, Harry Leigh Brown, Betty Brown, Sam Gordon, Lessie Mae Gordon; Aunt Dianna Roberts. Ryleigh was a child of God, given back to God. Her parents would like to extend their gratitude to the team of doctors and nurses who gave it their all to save their child.
