Grant Bamburg officiating and interment will follow at Rayville Masonic Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Mrs. Roberts was born on February 4, 1921 to George and Eula Landrum in Rayville, LA and passed from this life on August 2, 2016 in Center Point, LA. After graduating from Rayville High School, she attended a business school in Baton Rouge. Ms. Roberts worked for the cotton office in Rayville shortly after. In 1938 she married John Marshall Roberts of Alto, LA. Four daughters were born to their union. She loved to cook and sew and take care of her family. She cherished her childhood and spoke often of her parents and her brother, Otis and their life on their farm growing cotton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John Marshall Roberts; parents, George and Eula Landrum; brother, Otis Landrum and daughter, Vera Louise Roberts. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Faye McGuffee (Charles), Linda Tyler (Dean), Judy Crowell, (Michael); grandchildren, Kevin McGuffee, Sherry Dauzat, and Justin Roberts; and six great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Azalea Estates where she lived for 7 years for their love and care of our mother; and also Americare, Oak Haven Nursing staff, and Premier Healthcare. Pallbearers will be Brandon Dauzat, Cody Dauzat, Brent Dauzat, Kevin McGuffee, Justin Roberts, and Mark McGuffee. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Dorsey and Rodney Moon. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 4, 2016 and 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
