Thomas K. Smith III officiating. Interment will follow at L. C. Weaver Cemetery in Campti, LA. The family will receive friends on July 21, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Lane Roberts was born on December 2, 1949, in West Monroe, LA and passed away at 67 years of age, on July 18, 2017. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was loved by so many people. Lane was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone he could. He worked for the same company nearly 49 years. When he wasn't working or on his tractor, he was an avid bass fisherman, deer hunter, and an occasional karaoke singer. Lane loved Black Lake and his deer stand is practically famous. He had a beautiful voice and loved for people to "get up and dance" while he sang Conway and Merle at Lakewood Inn. Lane also loved his motorcycles and riding with his soulmate, Goose. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Roberts and Marie Smith Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Jan Harlan Roberts of Creston, LA; two sons, Jeff Roberts and wife Kori of Simsboro, LA and Scott Roberts of West Monroe, LA; one daughter, Christy Lindsey Anderson and husband Bryan of Creston, LA; four grandchildren, Dylan Roberts and wife Kennedy, C.J. Roberts, Landry Roberts, and Randen Roberts; and three special pets, Dolly, Tootsi, and Foxi. Those honored to be pallbearers will be Roger Fredieu, Justin Fredieu, Harlan Hughes, Joey Harlan, Boo Robichaux, Jerry Robichaux, and Thurteen Mouiller. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Dobson, David Dobson, Ronald Camp, and Chuck Andrus. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, any charitable contributions be made to Natchitoches Hope For Paws, P.O. Box 2552, Natchitoches, LA 71457; Natchitoches Humane Society, P. O.
