DORIS SLOAN ROBERTSON

Funeral services for Doris Sloan Robertson, 91, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 
PM Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church, 
Monroe, with Rev. Betty Swanson officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 
PM Monday, January 6, 2014, in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Arkadelphia, AR, under 
the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Robertson passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Azalea Estates. She 
was a member of Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church since 2003, after 
being a member of First Methodist Church in Arkadelphia, AR, for 50 years. Mrs. 
Robertson taught Sunday school for small children, and then in later years, 
taught an elderly ladies' class.

Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin A. and Sutah Sloan; 
her husband, John C. Robertson; and her brother, Marvin R. Sloan.

Survivors include her sister, Wanda Sloan Karnes of Fort Smith, AR; sister-in-
law, Joyce Evans Sloan of Sterlington, LA; nieces, Carol Tuck of Pocola, OK, 
Suzy Sloan of Sterlington, LA, and Kathy Brown of Snellville, GA; and nephew, 
Marvin D. Sloan of Royal, AR.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until service time at the church.

Memorials may be made to Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church or Gideons 
International.
