ROGERS Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. Otis A. Rogers, 82, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 9, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. William "Dub" Massey officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens. Mr. Rogers passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Rogers was a member of IBEW Local Union 446. He was an instructor of Electronics at the Ouachita Valley Vocational Technical School for many years. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Will Rogers; son, Daniel Allan Rogers; stepsons, Ted and Tommy Bailey; three sisters, and three brothers. Mr. Rogers loved and was devoted to his wife and blended family. His advanced knowledge of many subjects and his sense of humor will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Furn Bailey Rogers; son, Timothy Otis Rogers of Daytona, FL; daughters, Leslie Rogers and husband Michael of Clinton, LA, and Beverly Rogers Andrus and husband Michael of Monroe, LA; stepdaughters, Sandy Terrell and husband Julian of West Monroe, LA, and Gaye May of Alexandria, LA; sisters, Annie Mae Rice of Springhill, LA, and Willie Lea Chambers of Shreveport, LA; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be members of IBEW Local Union 446. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
