VIRGINIA ANN WINSTEAD ROGERS

Virginia Ann (Winstead) Rogers passed from this life on Saturday March 1, 2014 
at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following a brief illness. Virginia 
Ann was born on July 6,1960 at Monroe, LA to the union of her parents, Jimmie 
Frederick "Buddy" Winstead and Betty Sue Dunn Winstead.

Virginia was presently serving as a Lab Technician at Hardtner Medical Center 
in Urania and had worked there for six years, however her total career had 
spanned some thirty years. Virginia was known for all the work she did to help 
those around her, as she was always on the go to assist anyone in need. She 
was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

Virginia was known for her love of family and those left to cherish her 
memory: her husband, Burt Rogers of Grayson; her parents: Buddy and Betty 
Winstead of Hebert; her children: Deshone McClanahan of New Iberia and Jason 
McClanahan of Columbia; her step children: Melissa Plunkett of Eros, Kyle 
Rogers and Josh Rogers of Columbia; her brothers: Jimmy Winstead of Baskin, 
Keith Winstead of West Monroe, Steve Winstead of Grayson, and Donald Wayne 
Dunn of Maine; her sister: Janet Warren of Mangham; her beloved grandchildren 
who were the absolute light of her life: Jordan Ramsey, Destiney Ramsey, 
Dayton McClanahan, Matthew McClanahan, Paige Plunkett, Makayla Plunkett, 
Charlie Plunkett, Abram Plunkett, Kyla Rogers, Tysan Parker, and Lily Parker; 
and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Winstead, Dillon Warren, Bradley Winstead, 
Bo Brown, Jeff McKee, Ben Clark, Daniel Rogers, and Clayton McDowell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday March 4, 2014 from the 
Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. C.R. Martin officiating the 
service. The Rogers Family will receive guests at a visitation on Monday March 
3, 2014 at the Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. 
Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery at Grayson.
