Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Ted Parker, her nephew officiating. Interment will be in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers was born in Bastrop, LA and passed away on June 21, 2014 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Rogers was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. In her early years she grew up in Mer Rouge, LA, where she received her nursing degree at age 21. Mrs. Rogers became a very successful insurance agent, receiving the Woman of the Year award from The National Association of Professional Women in 2010/2011, as the best agent in the state. Mrs. Rogers worked with her husband in the mobile home and property and casualty insurance business for many years. Mrs. Rogers loved music, dancing, gardening and fishing. But her main love was being a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Gladys Parker, and Brothers, T.J. and Billy Parker. Survivors: Husband, Richard Rogers; Daughters, Kimberly Rogers Ferraro and husband Henry, Krystal Rogers Bearden and husband Chris, and Kelly Rogers Quarles and husband Michael; Grandchildren, Kerrigan Quarles, Wyatt Bearden, Ella Quarles, Emerson Ferraro, Parker Bearden, and Ruger Quarles; Brothers, Guy Parker and wife Betty, and William Parker and wife Dot; Sisters, Roberteen and husband Bennett Johnston; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.. Pallbearers will be Billy Johnston, Dustin Goudey, Keith Norris, Dewey Street, Charles Evans, and F.P. Cobb Visitation will be from 4:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe on Tuesday.
