EDNA MARIE QUAID ESTIS ROGERS

Funeral services for Edna Marie Quaid Estis Rogers, 77, of Farmerville will 
be held at 10:00 am, Monday, September 26, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home 
Chapel with Vernon Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove 
Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville

Mrs. Rogers, a retired educator, went to her heavenly home on September 23, 
2016. Mrs. Rogers and her former husband, Mr. Eldon H. Rogers, owned and 
operated Rogers Four Way Grocery in Union Parish. After retiring from the 
grocery business, she graduated from ULM with a degree in Education, and 
taught English until her retirement at Farmerville High School in 2005. Mrs. 
Rogers loved to garden and was a superb cook. She was a member of The Church 
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Walter & Edna Henegan 
Quaid; two husbands, Joseph "Monk" Estis and Eldon H. Rogers; two sisters; 
and two brothers.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Theresa Estis Sharp & husband, 
Vernon J. of Conway, La.; son, Dr. Thomas C. Estis & wife, Dr. Catherine 
Estis of Rayville, La.; two step-daughters, Reese Snipe & husband, Raymond 
of Ruston, La. and Becky Rogers of Farmerville, La.; one step-son, David 
Rogers & wife, Michelle of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, Samuel Estis 
& wife, Toni, Joshua Estis, Annie Berry & husband, Jamey, Lacey Sharp, and 
Sarah Sharp; four step-grandchildren, Justin Snipe & wife, Sarah, Cody 
Snipe, David Rogers and Natalie Rogers; great-grandchildren, Slayde Berry, 
Avynn Berry, Adrienne Alford, Hannah Klaire Alford, Grayson Walker Alford, 
Logan Estis, Samuel Estis, Ethan Estis, Alexis Estis, Jake Estis and Julia 
Estis; and numerous relatives and many friends.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with Royce Rogers and Theron 
Rogers.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm, Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 
Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
