The family requests that visitation be observed Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the gathering area at Sacred Heart of Jesus. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. The Mass will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Richard Greene, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus, with participation from Rabbi Barry L Weinstein. Lectors will be Amanda Rosenzweig Primeau and Marie DesOrmeaux Centanni. Gift bearers will be Amy Brewer DesOrmeaux and David Paul DesOrmeaux. Emerite was born in New Iberia on November 26, 2011. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Seth Daniel Rosenzweig (the former Julie Perret DesOrmeaux) of New Iberia. Named after her mother's great-Aunt Emerite Olivier Perret of Jeanerette, the beautiful infant brought great joy to her family, and was cherished by her four older siblings. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dennis Steven Rosenzweig. Emerite is survived by her parents, her paternal grandmother Sue Ann Grodman Rosenzweig of Las Vegas, Nev., maternal grandparents Dr. Georges Pierre DesOrmeaux and Mrs. Susan Perret DesOrmeaux of Abbeville, and siblings Luke Perret Rosenzweig, Dennis Steven Rosenzweig, II, Camille Elise Rosenzweig, and Georges Pierre Rosenzweig. Pallbearers will be David DesOrmeaux, Ethan Michael Rosenzweig, William Hunter Lemoine Kaufman and James Gabriel Breaux. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Teche Catholic Church or Congregation Gates of Prayer Jewish Temple in New Iberia.
