Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Greg Green officiating. Interment will follow in New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in West Monroe. Mrs. Murl Shows Ruddick was born May 1, 1921 and passed away March 3, 2014. She was a former hairdresser and was retired from JCPennys. Mrs. Ruddick was an active member and dearly loved her church, New Chapel Hill Baptist. She was proud of her children, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law and her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Murl was preceded in death by her husband, Godfrey Ruddick; parents, Alvie and Julia Watts Shows; brothers, Hulon, Burness, and Everett Shows; and stepson, Tommy Ruddick. Survivors include her daughter, DeLane Morrow and husband, Richard; son, Mike Ruddick and wife, Rhonda; stepdaughter, Linda Armishaw and husband, Jim; step daughter-in-law, Billie Jean Ruddick; nine grandchildren; and twelve great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Rick Morrow, Kenny Morrow, Brandon Morrow, Carey Ruddick, Michael Ruddick, Daniel Emory, and Paul Walker. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
