He was born August 17, 1942 to Lila Laverne Johnston Rushing and Jack S. Rushing who preceded him to heaven. He had one daughter, Amy; one brother, Jim Rushing and his wife Lisa; one nephew, Andy Rushing; and two nieces, Angie and Ally Rushing; his cousin, Judy Rushing Stinson and husband Jack Stinson; and many other cousins. Ronnie attended LSU earning a degree in Electronics Engineering, after which he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of captain. Ronnie worked in the computer industry throughout his career. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America as a young boy (Eagle Scout) and into adulthood, earning the Order of the Arrow twice. He loved sharing his knowledge of the outdoors; especially fly fishing, hiking and skiing, with young scouts. Anyone wishing to honor Ronnie's memory can make donations to the Boy Scouts of America in his name. A private service for the family was held in Ronnie's memory.
