Helen Rushton of Accrington, England died Thursday November 6, 1997. Helen has 
been living in Monroe since 1980. She died a very peaceful death. She was a 
member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Monroe and was preceded in death by 
her husband Edward Hesketh Rushton. Survivors include her daughter Patricia & 
husband Sal Pitarro of Monroe, LA. Grandchildren Leslie & her husband Mike 
Beckstrom of Heidelberg, Germany, John & wife Michelle Beckstrom of Santa 
Maria, CA., and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday with a prayer service 
at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home on Sterlington Rd., Monroe. 
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church 
at 3706 Bon Aire Drive, Monroe, LA., with Rev. Walter Baer officiating. 
Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church at P. O. Box 7301, 
Monroe, LA.
