WADE ELLIS RUSSELL

Graveside services for Mr. Wade (Sonny) E. Russell, 82, will be held at 2:00 
P.M. March 23 at Crowville Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Self, Rev. David 
Moseley and Rev Ronnie Charrier officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn 
Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA.

Mr. Russell was born on July, 29 1933 near Crowville, LA and died March 21, 
2016 at Plantation Manor Nursing Home in Winnsboro, LA. He had been a resident 
of Baskin, LA since 1993 and a member of Mangham Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Russell graduated from Crowville High School in 1951 as Valedictorian of 
his class of 40 classmates, studied civil engineering at LA Tech University, 
and retired in 2006 after fifty years of Industrial and Pipeline construction 
experience in the U.S.

Mr. Russell started his career in 1959 as a field engineer with Ford, Bacon & 
Davis Construction in their pipeline construction division and after 33 years 
of service, finished his career as the General Manager of Construction 
overseeing all construction divisions for the company. His career with FB&D 
involved constructing numerous cross country natural gas, products and crude 
oil pipelines, compressor stations, paper mills, and petrochemical and ammonia 
plants throughout the United States. In his early career with FB&D, his work 
required he and his family living in numerous states including Michigan, 
Wisconsin, West Virginia, Texas, Indiana, South Louisiana, and Kentucky. Mr. 
Russell finished his work career as a Construction Manager for IMC/Koch 
Nitrogen in Sterlington, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Doyle Russell; Mother, Daisy 
Jackson Russell; Daughter, Esteletia LaJuan Russell; and son, Russell LaJon 
Russell.

Wade is survived by two sons, Bryan W. Russell and wife, Paula; Lyle V. Russell 
and wife, Miriam; Five Grandchildren, Jennifer (Lea) Russell Sheppard, Kathryn 
Russell Heavener, Erin Russell Green, Benjamin Lyle Russell and Madeline 
Russell Wooldridge; and seven Great Grandchildren.

Wade is also survived by his longtime friend and companion, Mrs. Dorothy Crain 
Oliver of Winnsboro and her family of two sons, Joey Oliver and wife Crystal, 
and Jeff Oliver and wife Sandy.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Wright; Freddie Ray Franklin, J. D. 
Pippens, Jack Allen, Mike Garland, Floyd Crawley, Mike Axen, Frog Crain, Joey 
Oliver, and Jeff Oliver

Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2016 at Mulhearn 
Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials may be made to St. Jude 
Children's Research Center, in which Wade was a lifetime supporter.
