EVELYN PUCKETT RUSSELL

Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Puckett Russell, 94, of West Monroe, LA will be
held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral
Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Neil Oldham officiating. Interment will follow in
the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.

Mrs. Russell was born on July 21, 1923 in Hebert, LA and passed away on August
3, 2017 at Glenwood Regional Medical in West Monroe, LA following complications
of a stroke on July 31. She lived a full, happy, independent life for all of her
94 years. She loved being with family and friends, attending church and Sunday
School, singing in the choir, sending cards to her church family and friends for
birthdays, anniversaries and at Christmas and preparing food, especially Chicken
and Dumplings for church activities and bereaved families. In her younger years
she especially enjoyed teaching young children Bible Stories using a flannel
graph board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 63 years, John Hansford Russell;
her parents, AB and Estelle Puckett; brothers, Eugene Puckett and Allen Puckett;
sisters, Lorena McGeehee, Myrtle Mott, Ruth Dollar, Audra McDonald, Margie
Douglas and Alora Worsham.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Elmore and husband, Charles; son, Johnny
Russell; grandchildren, Charlene Ragan and husband, Brian, Wendy Chandler and
husband, Bill; great grandchildren, Tyler Ragan and wife, Jessie, Spencer Ragan
and wife, Bailey, David Chandler, Eric Chandler and Jaiden Chandler; great great
grandchild, Murphy Ragan; nephew, Joe Puckett and many other nieces, nephews,
friends and church family at Cypress Street Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ragan, Tyler Ragan, Spencer Ragan, Bill Chandler,
Marlon Mitchell, and Dale Green. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Worsham and
LM Welch.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time on Saturday at
Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the Cypress Street Church of God Building Fund.
