Brother Mike Stone will conduct the funeral services. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will take place following the service at Ebenezer Cemetery, Ebenezer Church Road, Jonesboro, Louisiana 71251. She was born on December 17, 1922 in Chatham, Louisiana. She was 92. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Douglas Ryals, one brother, William Earl Barr, and two sisters Hazel Barr Cobb, and Gloria Brown Reeves, and her parents, William Thomas Barr and Venona Loflin Barr. She is survived by two children: Terry Douglas Ryals and his wife Judy, of West Monroe, Louisiana and their daughter Lori Ryals Broach; Gathy Ryals Reed and her husband Gordon, of Lafayette, Louisiana and their children Ashley Reed Fontenot, Gordon Patrick Reed II, and Taylor Ryals Reed; and her great- grandchildren, Mallory Broach, Madelyn Broach, Elizabeth Grace Fontenot, Isabelle Reed, Lucy Reed, Brittan Huffman, and Maggie Huffman; one sister, Imogene Brown Thomas, and special friend Dana Johnson Vincent. Pallbearers will be her son-in-law, Gordon Patrick Reed, grandsons, Gordon Patrick Reed II and Taylor Ryals Reed, her grandson-in-law, Murry L. Broach, Jr., her nephew, William Thomas Barr, and special family friend, Trent Vincent. Honorary Pallbearers are her nephews, Shelby Earl Barr, Ronnie Thomas, and Scott Thomas, and special family friend, Ronnie Green. The Ryals family would like to thank the staff at The Terrace, and First Choice Hospice for all of their loving care and devotion.
