RINEHART PROMINENT WEST SIDE CITIZEN DEAD BORN JANUARY 1, 1855 DIED APRIL 19, 1915 Mr. R. L. Rinehart, prominent in West Monroe for many years as a leading merchant of that town, died at his home on the West Side at 2 o'clock Monday Afternoon (April 19, 1915), after an illness of several years. He was 60 years and 3 months of age. Mr. Rinehart suffered a stroke some years ago and he never recovered from the shock. He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Lena Morris Rinehart; three daughters: Mrs. A. B. Hopson, Misses Elsie and Elizabeth Rinehart and two sons: Messrs Ray and Morris Rinehart, both of the latter being connected with the Monroe Post Office Department. Funeral services were conducted at his late home at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning by Presiding Elder William Schuhle and Rev. H. W. Ledbetter, pastor of the West Monroe Methodist church. Floral offerings were unusually numerous and handsome. Interment was in the new addition to Hasley Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs J. L. Russ, L. N. Larche, O. O. Clark, R. W. McClendon, R. P. Henson, and J. M. Munholland. A large concourse of former friends and associated followed the remains of Mr. Rinehart to their last resting place. Besides being prominent as a business man Mr. Rinehart was Mayor of West Monroe for four years. # # #
