Danny McIlveene and Rev. Mark Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Chatham Cemetery. On September 18, 2008 at 10:15 AM, Marvin went home to be with his Lord and Savior with his loving family surrounding him. He was a boiler maker and a World War II Veteran. Mr. Salsbury retired from Shawnee Steam Plant in Paducah, Kentucky. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. Mr. Salsbury is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ila Salsbury; four brothers; one sister; daughter, Cindy Wray; and grandson, Sgt. Chris Heflin. He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Marie Salsbury; son, Tim Salsbury and wife Diane; daughter, Meleasa Ellis; sister, Nita Moreau and husband Eddie; brothers, Lonnie Salsbury and wife JoAnn and Charles Salsbury and wife Bonnie; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mr. Salsbury's grandsons. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
