RASSIE "BUD" SANDERSON
Kilpatrick Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Rassie "Bud" Sanderson, "Mayor of 5th St.," 92, of 
West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday September 22, 2009 at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Anger of Cypress Street Church of God will be 
officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston, under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Sanderson was born June 29, 1917 in Palestine, TX and died September 18, 
2009 following a brief illness. Mr. Sanderson served in the U.S. Air Force 
during World War II; he retired from Moore Oil Company after 23 years of 
service.

Mr. Sanderson was preceded in death by his wife, Tressie P. Sanderson; and his 
four brothers and sisters.

Mr. Sanderson is survived by two children, Jill Emery and husband Steve, 
Timothy Sanderson; two grandchildren, Bradney Lane Evans, and Kayla Lorraine 
Evans; special nieces, Lenita Beck and Linda Evans; father of the 
grandchildren and close friend, Paul Evans; and a host of great nieces, 
nephews, cousins and close friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of 
Glenwood Hospital for their care during Bud's illness.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home, West Monroe.
