Services for Mrs. Leona Rita Dufrene Sandidge, 64 of Monroe, LA will be held 
at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 1997 at Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Danny 
Pitts officiating. Burial will be at Mulhearn Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Sandidge died Saturday, November 22, 1997 at North Monroe Hospital. She 
was very active in raising funds for the Diabetes Assoc. and the American 
Cancer Society. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include: her husband, Ernest R. Sandidge, Jr. of Monroe, LA; 2 
daughters: Wanda Lee McClellan and her husband Walter, of Inverness, FL, and 
Lisa Bradbury and her husband, James, of Monroe, LA; son, Michael Sandidge and 
his wife Amy, of Philadelphia, PA; 3 grandchildren: Alan, Amber, and Brett 
McClellan; 2 sisters: Rose Wiggins of Morgan City, LA and Ella Deckard of El 
Dorado, AR; 4 brothers; Shelby Dufrene, Vaniess Dufrene, Hector Dufrene, and 
Elvin Dufrene, all of Des Allemands, LA.

Pallbearers: Brad Sanson, Renford Rogers, Mike Downhour, Kenneth Peters, C. D. 
Sandidge and Joe Crawford. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday 
evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes 
Association.
