Carl Dean Saterfield, 78, of West Monroe, LA will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Paul Carter and Dr. Randy Burdeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Rev. Saterfield was born November 8, 1937 in Dearborn, MI and passed away July 25, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. He was a retired machinist and pastor. Rev. Saterfield was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Saterfiel; his twin sister, Carol Jean Arrant; and his beloved dog, Mitzi. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Mae Duffy Saterfield; children, Lisa McClain and husband Mark, Dan Saterfield and wife Lori, Shawna Ann Morris and husband Kevin, Micah John Saterfield and wife Jeanette, and Timmy Paul Saterfield and wife Dee Dee; grandchildren, Colby Dean Saterfield, Tyler Lee Saterfield, Landon E. Scriber, Cassidy Danielle Saterfield Green and husband Seth, Jared Mark McClain, Kelsey Nicole Saterfield Schwartz and husband Jesse, Jonathan Dean Saterfield, Gabriel Micah John Saterfield, Carly Danielle McClain and Kaley Elizabeth Mae Saterfield; three great grandchildren, Clinton Eugene Green, Waylon Arlea Green and Bentley Ryan Schwartz; sisters, Beth Kazarian, Sharon Knox and Paula Knox; numerous nieces and nephews; and his furbabies, Patty Cake, Sandy and Tinker Bell. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons- in-law and special friend, Norris "Wes" Westmoreland. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to Seth Green's Medical Fund at Marion State Bank or to his GoFundMe Account.
