WILLIE HAZEL COPES SAVAGE


Funeral services for Willie "Hazel" Copes Savage, age 93, formerly of Delhi, La 
will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Robert 
McGaha officiating. Interment will be in the Lamar Cemetery. Services are under 
the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willie Hazel Copes Savage passed away July 4, 2014 at the age of 93. She 
was a resident of Christus Grace Home in Shreveport at the time of her death. 
Prior to Grace Home she resided in Bossier City for four years.

She is preceded in death by her husband George W. Savage; son, George Burnett 
Savage; parents, Fred and Suzie Copes.

Hazel dedicated her life to God at an early age at Plum Grove Church. She 
enjoyed making her house into a home. She was loved by everyone her life touched 
and will be missed by all.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Regenia Williamson of Shreveport, LA; son and 
daughter-in-law, Ben and Dell Savage of Whitesburg, GA; daughter and son-in-law, 
Bettye and L.B. Johnson of Haughton, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Wanda 
Gail Savage of Delhi, LA; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 12 
great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Gallagher, Joey Dillon, Trey Johnson, Garrett Anderson, 
Seth Savage, Slade Savage, Kagan Heller.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Grace Home, 
Cornerstone and Garden Court.
