Funeral services for Evelyn Taylor Sawyer, age 91, of Ruston, formally of 
Farmerville, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Salem 
Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Willie Cottrell 
and Dr. Michael Hawley. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill /Taylor Cemetery 
under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

Ms. Sawyer was born on June 14, 1917 in Farmerville, LA, and passed away on 
April 21, 2009 in Ruston, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alex and Betty Taylor; brothers and 
sisters, A.C. Taylor, Jr.; Gertrude Hill; James Taylor; Beatrice Cammack; 
Elaine Long; Hiram Taylor; Donald B. Taylor; granddaughter, Shelley Sawyer.

She is survived by her son, James C. Sawyer and wife Janice; grandson, Jimmy 
Sawyer; great granddaughter's Katherine Sawyer and Emily Sawyer; sister, Betty 
G. McIntosh and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
