Calvin J. Sawyer, 83, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2009 
at his residence in Donna, TX. He was born January 15, 1926 in Farmerville, LA 
to J.A. & Josie Wheeler Sawyer. He was an independent distributor for Borden's 
Milk for 56 years and a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cherie & 1 son, Tony Sawyer.

He is survived by 1 son, Tom Sawyer (Janie) of Donna, TX & daughter-in-law, Pat 
Sawyer of Rocky Branch, LA; 3 grandchildren, Charles Sawyer (Nancy) of Bastrup, 
LA, Shelley Barnes of Monroe, LA & Andrea Beckler (David) of Bernice, LA; also 
surviving are 5 great-grandchildren, Megan Barnes, Kirstin Barnes, Skylar 
Barnes, Ramsey Sawyer & Brodey Sawyer. Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, 
Friday, June 5, 2009 at Rocky Branch Cemetery.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, 
Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX. (956) 969-1461.
