DONALD R. SCHANKS

Funeral services for Donald R. Schanks, Sr., 72, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Living Way Apostolic Church with 
Pastor Nathan Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's 
Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mr. Schanks was born December 28, 1943 in West Monroe and passed away April 28, 
2016 in West Monroe. He retired as a telecommunications installer. Mr. Schanks 
was a member of the Living Way Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by 
his parents, James W. and Margaret Bond Schanks; three brothers, Lee, Jake, and 
Ezra Schanks and sister, Marie Boothe.

Mr. Schanks is survived by his wife, Linda Ebarb Schanks; daughter, Angela 
Pence and husband, Lesley; sons, Donald Schanks Jr. and wife, Tara and Kevin 
Schanks and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Kasey Mueller, Tyler and Tayler 
Schanks, Payton Schanks; great-grandchildren, Declan and Killian Mueller; three 
step-grandchildren, Taylor, Luk, and Riley Pence; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at 
Living Way Apostolic Church.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Living Way Apostolic Church.
