She was born on October 8, 1937, in Columbia, La., to Cameron Clinton Minard and Jewel Thornton Minard. A 1959 graduate of Sophie Newcomb College, Tulane University, she spent her junior year abroad at the University of Birmingham, England. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In 1963, Lind and Juergen Sven Schrader met and married in New Orleans. They lived for several years in Europe and Montclair, N.J., before moving in 1997 to Hilton Head Island, where they became members of Dolphin Head Golf Club and the South Carolina Yacht Club. Lind was also a member of the Hilton Head Duplicate Bridge Club. Lind is survived by her husband, Sven; her two children, Dirk Cameron Schrader, M.D. (Carol Walker-Schrader) and Sylvie Kirsten Schrader Warmath; grandchildren: Chloe Elizabeth Schrader, Cameron Walker Schrader, William Sven Warmath, Clara Rose Warmath and Sophie Lind Warmath. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews: Ann Claire Staneff (Steve), Jewel Buchanan (Bill), Royce Braselton, Cameron Braselton, and Cameron H. Murray. She is predeceased by her son-in-law Kevin Warmath. Funeral services shall be private. The family will receive friends for the celebration of Lind's life at the "Windows on the Waterway", Hilton Head Plantation, from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016. In lieu of flowers a donation to the "Hospice Care of the Lowcountry", Bluffton, SC, who helped warm-heartedly and efficiently, or to the "Literacy Center" (Bluffton, SC) will be welcomed.
