Father Jamie Medina will be officiating. Visitation was from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday. Rosary service was, 6:30 PM. Martha Ellen was born July 7, 1912 in Rayville, LA, but lived most of her life in WaterProof, LA. She passed away Sunday, January 25, 2004 in Shreveport, LA. She was a graduate of Rayville High School. Her favorite career was being a wife, mother, and grandmother, which she loved dearly. To all that knew her, yard work was her favorite pastime. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff W.M. "Mac" Seaman, parents Harry John Coenen and Martha Mattingly Coenen; brothers, George, Henry, and Jon Coenen and son-in-law, Lloyd H. Perkins preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: daughter, Martha "Sweetie" Perkins; son, W.M. Kenzie Seaman and wife JoAnn; son, Davide B. Seaman and wife Cecile and daughter Ritsy Prince and husband Keith survive her. Grandchildren, Buddy, Bill and Dorothy Perkins, Will, Bob, Phillip and Martha Jane "Marti" Seaman, Amy and Michael Prince, and six great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survived her. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Martha Ellen was a unique gift from God and although she will be greatly missed, those whom she leaves behind are filled with appreciation for the years of life God granted her in our midst.
