SEGARS Memorial Mass for Tim E. Segars, 76, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Frank Coens officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mr. Segars was born in Monroe, LA and passed away on July 24, 2015 at his residence in West Monroe, LA. He entered the United States Navy when he was 16 and then graduated from Neville High School. Tim loved his time serving America in the engine room of the submarine. He served 4 years of active duty and 15 years in the Navy Reserve. Tim was honored to service his community and loved his days as a Shriner and in later years fundraising for the annual CCM University of Louisiana at Monroe fish fry. He loved the Ouachita River and was proud to be in the Ouachita Power and Sail Squadron and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Florence Segars; brothers, John Segars and Joe Denstell; and sister, Penny Segars. Survivors include his wife, Janice Soignier Segars; daughter, Lesley King and husband Tommy; son, Derek Segars; stepsons, Brian and Adam Russell; grandchildren, Sarah Deese and husband Heath, Kyle and Alissa Kessler, Mychal and Victoria Kessler, Ross Albritton, Jewelianna Russell and Casey King; great grandchildren, Graham and Jack Deese, Annahlea and Viviette Kessler and Atticus Chelette; sisters, Margaret and husband Eugene Brandon, Barbara Ward, and Exell and husband Joe Perkins; and numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following Mass in the Reception Hall at St. Paschal Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the CCM at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Shriner's Hospital for Children or HAE Foundation.
