T.C "PETE" SELF

Funeral services for T C "Pete" Self will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 
17, 2017 at McClendon Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA. Dr. Kevin Stewart and 
Rev. James Gardner will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial 
Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Pete was born October 11, 1934 in Vernon Parish, LA and passed away January 14, 
2017 in West Monroe. Pete was a faithful member of McClendon Baptist Church and 
owner/operator of Pete's Mobile Home Service until his retirement in 2005. He 
was a great Dad, Grandfather and hard working man, even at the age of 82. He 
loved playing the piano and guitar. Pete loved camping and most of all loved 
spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, 
Opal Self; parents, Jehu Traver and Bertha Lee Moore Self; son-in-law, Mark 
Young; sisters, Beatrice Brister, Gladys Deramus, Travis Powell, Gertrude 
Powell; brothers, Curtis Self, Gethren Self, Chris Self, Jehu Self, and John 
Edward Self.

Pete is survived by his 4 children; Clyde Self and wife Cindy, Sherry Stokes 
and husband Buddy, John Self and wife Liz, and Rita Young; brothers, Curvin 
Self and wife, Carolyn and Sanford Self ; 10 grandchildren and 15 great 
grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jared Self, Jacob Self, Matt Garner, Bradley Young, Bernard 
Powell, Doug Self, Justin Lawrence, and Joshua Lawrence.

A special "Thank you" to Dr. Weinberger, Jessica Sharp, St. Francis Hospital 
Staff and First Choice Hospice.

Memorials may be made to McClendon Baptist Youth Building Fund.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 
McClendon Baptist Church.
